About Me
Hello! I am a 4th year veterinary student studying in London, originally from Singapore! I love outdoor activities, I used to train sprints when I was in secondary school and college, now I am very interested in hiking, trekking and mountain climbing. I also enjoy travelling and visiting the most remote places, meeting new people from different walks of life. Most of all, I would describe myself as down to earth and open minded.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love travelling and visiting different places, but my bank account does not always allow for a trip overseas with accommodation etc. I really love that couchsurfing provides an opportunity for me and many others to fulfill the wish of travelling without worrying of costs and money (or lack thereof).
Interests
My first love would be of course - veterinary medicine! I am a vet student and I love working with animals and anything related to medicine/biology/zoology. I am also a regular cyclist, quite into most outdoorsy activites, and I also love a good night out partying and just having some fun!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Pretty much mainstream hip hop, and the odd indie song. But I am always open to listening to other genres with catchy tunes.
Movies: I tend to watch more serials than movies, right now I am trying to catch up on Friends (I know, I am slow ;)), and I can't wait for the new season of game of thrones!!
Books: I was (and still am) very much into Harry Potter as a kid but now tend more towards scientific journals and philosophical ideologies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I did an internship at the Singapore Zoo in the summer of 2015 - I was given the chance to work with a vet on one of the crocodiles in the zoo. The most amazing thing I did: Collect sperm from the sedated crocodile for lab testing. Best.Experience.EVER!
Teach, Learn, Share
I am fluent in English and Tamil (South Indian language, and my mother tongue!), and so am able to teach anyone either language. I am able to share with anyone interested all about being a vet student and what it is like to work with animals and a clinical level. This makes me sound slightly boring, but I swear that is not all I talk about! I am always willing to learn more about other people, their cultures/backgrounds, and whatever their interests are :)
