Hello I am Bettina, or you can call me my mandarin name Ya-Ting. I graduated from university in Taiwan and currently travel around the East Coast of the states. I spend most of my life in Taiwan but for the past one year I successfully escaped from a comfy zone to a full of adventures environment. I worked at SeaWorld San Antonio for 3 months as a summer job so I was able to travel West Coast by my own without asking money from my parents, well, this is kinda a progress for me. After that I went to Canada with my working holiday visa and started another new challenge there. My favorite time in Canada was the seasonal job at Waterton Lake National Park in Alberta. That's my best summer of my whole life. Magnificent sceneries, fantastic people, amazing wild animals but weird weather haha.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I joined a program called Work & Travel, which means I can work in the states to earn the money for the trip after I finished my job. The sponsor applied me a job at SeaWorld as a life guard which is really fun! Unfortunately, the apartment they offer is super expensive that I can barely save the money for my journey. But lucky me, I found this couchsurfing! People here are all nice and passionate, I don't need to worry about the accommodate cost while traveling! The most important thing is to make new friend and know different culture thru this web, AMAZING!
