Hallo zusammen! My name is Bettina and I‘m an Au Pair from Germany who has been living for almost two years in the US. Currently I live in the Bay Area of California. I‘m an open-minded person who is interested in traveling, trying new things, meeting new people from around the world and learn more about other cultures.

I’m planning my first solo trip ever! I’m kind of confused of traveling by myself to another city without knowing anyone so one of my friends recommended me to try Couchsurfing. I enjoy meeting new people who share same interests and culture as well as hearing about their travel experiences. That’s why I think the idea of Couchsurfing is a great way to make friends and to explore the city from the perspective of a local. I hope to find someone who would be willing to spend some time together but at the same time I also respect their need for privacy.
