ABOUT ME

Hey y'all. I'm a very easy-going, happy-go-lucky kind of gal. Attracted to all things brightly-coloured since fetal development, as well as can't live without a my moleskine's and a good read. My ideal day would look a lot like this: hopping around from one coffee shop to the next with my pen and paper. :)

I landed in Australia August 2012 and have stayed in Sydney ever since. I did travel up the east coast to Cairns in November 2012 and had the time of my life. This country definitely has a lot to offer and I'm so very glad that I decided to take the time out from my once boring life to follow my dreams and wing it!

I'm first generation Canadian, born to Italian born and raised parents who enjoy their days eating plenty of carbs and playing card games.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm a newbie to the CS community and really excited to get involved. Currently looking for places to surf but would be happy to give back when I'm done travelling and settle into a new flat in Sydney or Melbourne. :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have yet to couch-surf and looking forward to it... mostly because it seems to me the best opportunity to see other places and make great friends along the way. The best way to learn about a new place, I find, is to learn from the locals themselves and the CS community seems to be a thriving and friendly family I'd like to be a part of.

Graduated from University with Honours
Traveled solo through Queensland
Quit my job back home to live in Oz (woo!)
Volunteered for many Canadian environmental initiatives as well as with mentally-disabled adults

Teach, Learn, Share

My goal is to learn how to play Bon Iver's 'Skinny Love' acoustically. I don't yet know how to play guitar but that this would be a great goal to achieve. My deadline is March 15th, 2013!
I learned to play the piano at a young age and took a beginner's course in American Sign Language in university. Also took Creative Advertising in college.
I'm pretty crafty and love anything girl guide-like (LOL): the arts, scrap booking, learning new helpful skills, cooking etc.
Reading and writing is my life and the number one outlet for me to express myself. I also grew up playing sports with my older brother and enjoy play soccer (football) most.
