ABOUT ME

We are young couple from Czech republic who is dating together for 6 years. We come from a small calm town called Český Těšín on borders with Poland. It's near Ostrava the centre of our region. In February 2018 we have come to Canada to spend a year working, travelling and volunteering.

Betty is studying Regional Geography at her dream university in Olomouc. She is 23 year old. She likes growing her little garden at the balcony, going to café and hiking in nature. She LOVES cats but unfortunately she doesn't have anyone. She likes pancakes with blueberries and other food but she is a terrible cook:D

Michael is 28 years old guy who was working as a fireman at the Ostrava's airport. He studied the Social politics in Opava. He candidated in local elections as member of Czech Pirate Party. A lot of time he spends doing sports mainly jogging and hiking. He likes yoga. He likes alternative ways of live. He is interested in raw food. He is a little philosopher and dreamer...He has a dog which Betty hates:-p
In July 2018 he quit his work and spend one month WWOOFing. Later together with Elizabeth he volunteered on Workcamp for two weeks in Germany.
PHILOSOPHY

The main thing is to be selfsatisfied.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

First experience:
We read an arcticle about Couchsurfing in a newspaper + we need an accomodation in expensive Geneve so we said "why not?" and tried it. It was the best way how to manage our trip and we often remember on it.
It was definitely a positive experience;)

First host:
Our first host was Yuki from Japan. He spend one night at Elizabeth's place. It was a great and enriching experience! It is a pity that we do not have the right conditions to host more people and more regularly

We are young so we don´t have much to afford. Except of fresh view on life, plenty of energy and positive mood.

We can teach you some basic words in czech, so when you come to our homeland you can almost pretend to be a native.
Betty can teach you how to make paper origami crane:D:)
