Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I live in Australia, I’m recently widowed after 40 years with my partner, I have a son living in Munich who will be welcoming my first grandchild to the world in August 2020. I’m going to be in Europe for 6 weeks at that time so I can be close by for the birth and to get to have a few weeks with my grandchild hands-on. I will be returning each year to ensure my relationship continues to grow. Each time I visit (including this year) I will be exploring as many other parts of Europe as I can so Couchsurfing seems like the obvious fit for me.
