I have traveled a lot both in the UK and overseas. I have stayed in budget hotels, hostels, camped, slept on couches done woofing aas well as more conventional package and DIY holidays.Generally had very positive experiences. this year due to my son playing baseball in London and surrounding areas we often have to find somewhere to stay quickly and cheaply. It is quite the challenge and although we do sometimes get offered a place to stay there is always a bit of a feeling that they are feeling obligated to offer rather than altruistic. We have a tiny house in a small town outside of Manchester but it may suit someone and does have train and bus links ...we also seriously would only be abel to offer a couch or camp bed. We also have a small dog and a cat.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I thought with all of the traelling I have done and the hours spent piecing together accommodation sometimes that it would be worth a try.

Music, Movies, and Books

Goodness, I am not sure it matters. I don't like horror movies. I am not a fan of fantasy books... I dont think my preferences would prevent me from surfing or hosting.

I like to cook, I have taught English and Philosophy. I love animals and would gladly help to look after them.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am quite flexible so can be independent and require very little or if the hots prefers do chores, gardening and pet sitting.
