About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To experience as much of the world as I can, while I can.
A youthful senior, semi retired, independent, self motivated, American woman, who loves to laugh, enjoy a good meal, shop, and who is curious about other cultures.
Kind, helpful, respectful, curious, and creative.
Enjoy life to the fullest, and exploit your passion.
My belief is people should plant their garden and decorate their soul!!!
PHILOSOPHY
Each day is a blessing, and the first day of the rest of your life.
Wake up each and every day, and be grateful for the gift of life.
The meaning of life is the leave the world a better place than we found it.
I believe we are our brother's keeper and I feel a personal responsibility to help others.
To respect our planet, our fellow man, and ourselves.
I respect everyone, until they give me a reason not to.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
VERY IMPORTANT....
DEAR POTENTIAL SURFERS.............
PLEASE READ BEFORE REQUESTING TO BE HOSTED.
SEND A PROPER REQUEST, NOT A MESSAGE
I WILL ONLY HOST ONE GUEST AT A TIME AS MY PLACE IS SOMEWHAT SMALL.
COUCH SURFING IS A CULTURAL EXCHANGE PROGRAM.
I DON'T KNOW MY WORK SCHEDULE MORE THAN TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE.
IF YOU DO NOT CONFIRM WITHIN 48 HOURS I WILL RESCIND MY ACCEPTANCE AND GIVE IT TO THE NEXT SURFER.........
I participate by hosting others, and trying to provide a safe, clean, and harmonious environment while they explore their dream city.
Generally speaking I am not interested in seeing the tourists sites, after living here for over 27 years.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I started my CS experience last May surfing with a Parisian host.
I started hosting late last year, and have hosted approximately 50 people.
Interests
I am a curious person who loves different cultures, meeting new people, cooking, writing poetry, traveling, shopping, (especially shoes), sports, thrifting, theater foreign films, history, genealogy, museums, and dining out.
If you surf with me, I promise to ask a million questions!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite music is R&B, Jazz, Blues, and Country.
My favorite books: The biographies of Langston Hughes, and Queen Victoria.
Favorite Film: Once Upon a Time We Were Colored.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I loved seeing the gratitude and hope in the faces of the homeless as we fed them meals, provided clothing, and humanity in general.
The Ancient Ruins, The Vatican, and the Sistine Chapel was transforming.
Seeing God's beautiful creations, the Grand Canyon, the clear blue bottom of the ocean in Jamaica, and the French Riviera at night.
I witnessed the miracle of life, watching a friend's baby being born.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am curious to learn about different cultures, religions, politics, and personal perspectives of travelers from different countries.
I am also eager to learn how other's view America.
I am most happy to share my opinion about culture in the United States.
