Hey there!

I'm Beya, French-Algerian, born and raised in Paris. Nice to meet you :)

I had the chance to live in different places. I did an Erasmus in Edinburgh for year, spent 10 months in Budapest working in youth hostel, worked as teacher in Bethlehem for almost two years and now I've been living in Palma de Mallorca for 4 years... although I ended there by mistake :D
I've also done a lot of volunteering during these years, mainly in Western Sahara and Italy, with disabled refugee kids.

I'm very curious person and my favourite thing in life is learning, especially foreign languages! I speak 5 (French, English, Arabic, Spanish and Italian). I've been learning Japanese, I really hope it could be my sixth language (a big challenge given how difficult it is, but I find it a lot of fun though!).

I love hiking or walking in general and spend time outside. But I also love watching a film, reading a book, going to the cinema or just spending time inside.

これまでにいろいろな場所で暮らす機会がありました。
エディンバラで1年間エラスムス留学をしたり、ブダペストで約10か月間ユースホステルで働いたり、ベツレヘムでは教師として約2年間働いていました。
そして今は、なぜかご縁があって（笑）、4年間パルマ・デ・マヨルカに住んでいます :D

この数年間で、主に西サハラやイタリアで多くのボランティア活動にも参加してきました。

私はとても好奇心旺盛で、人生で一番好きなことは「学ぶこと」です。特に外国語を学ぶのが大好きです！
フランス語、英語、アラビア語、スペイン語、イタリア語の5か国語を話します。現在は日本語を勉強中で、ぜひ6つ目の言語にしたいと思っています。とても難しい言語ですが、その分とても楽しいと感じています！

ハイキングや散歩など、外で過ごす時間が好きです。
その一方で、映画を観たり、本を読んだり、映画館に行ったり、家でゆっくり過ごす時間も大好きです。

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travelling to get to know about people, their lives, their dreams, their beliefs. We all come from different backgrounds and have different life experiences, I find it very enriching to I prefer discovering a place through the people that make rather than going from one landmark to another.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Looking for meteorites in a military zone in the refugee camps of Western Sahara.

I'm very committed to the cause of disabled refugee children from Western Sahara. I volunteer in an association in Spain and we organize summer camps for these children.
