ABOUT ME
Paradox of Our Age
We have bigger house but smaller families;
More conveniences, but less TIME;
We have more degrees, but less sense;
More knowledge, but less judgement;
More experts, but more problems;
More medicine, but less healthiness.
We have been all the way to the Moon and back,
but have trouble crossing the street to meet the new neighbour.
We built more computers to hold more information to produce more copies than ever, but less communication;
We have become long on quantity but short on quality.
These are times of fast food and short digestion;
Tall man but short character;
Steep profit but shallow relationship.
It's a time when there is much in the window, but nothing in the room.
~~ 14th Dalai Lama
PHILOSOPHY
Nature's first green is gold,
It's hardest hue to hold.
It's early leaf's a flower,
but only so an hour.
Then leaf subside to leaf,
So Eden sanks to grieve.
So dawn goes down to day,
Nothing gold can stay.
~~ Robert Frost
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I was first introduced to Couchsurfing by Albert, a Hong Kong traveler. We were seated next to each other on a domestic flight in Myanmar. That was in 2011.
Since then, the Couchsurfing scene has evolved rapidly. As in every community, there are bound to be black sheep who abuses the system and/or taint the reputation of other Couchsurfers. I want to believe that there everybody is a good person and is genuine in interacting and learning about different cultures.
I want to believe that I'm that kind of Couchsurfer that you want to get to know.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Eating the Balut! It's a fertilized duck egg, with its wings and bones forming. a Filipino favorite snack.
Sunrise over Sahara Desert is simply breathtaking. The sun rays competing with the vast land to see who can cover a greater area.
Losing my passport and wallet on the first day I got into Turkey and living on a 500usd budget for 2 weeks. The hospitality of random strangers overwhelmed and humbled me. I didn't mind having fat cheeks from a diet of mostly bread! (cos it's so cheap)
Annapura Base Camp trek.
