CURRENT MISSION
Exploring and trying to understand Turkey
ABOUT ME
I’m a Polish guy who is living in Ankara. I’m a Russian teacher and also student at the Department of Modern Turkish Literature (MA) at Hacettepe University in Ankara. Travelling is an important part of my life. I spent a lot of time in trains, buses and on the roads of The Balkans - I love hitchhiking as most of Polish people do. It seems that finally I’ve found a place for myself – it’s Turkey for a couple of years.
I'm pretty calm, patient and joyful. I like having guests, I always try to prepare something delicious for them. If I have time and you’re willing, I can take you to some sightseeing places in the city. I can never imagine my life out of the city. Of course I like the nature and countryside but I’m pretty sure that I’m created to live in a big city. I have many beloved cities such as Istanbul, Cracow, Warsaw, Jerusalem, Dresden, Lviv, Moscow and Sankt Petersburg... My dream is visit Rome, Paris and New York one day. Currently I’m living in Ankara which is also in my top list. I’ve been in Ankara for 1,5 year and I’ll be here at least 2 years more. I try to do my best in order to make you love Turkish capital, as well!

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies - it is not my cup of tea. For me the most important thing is literature. So many books, so short life... - but I do my best. I love belles-lettres and reportages. I can't imagine the world (and my life) without Russian literature - if you know its you know what I'm talking about :) Nowadays I am dealing with Modern Turkish literature deeply. Therefore I am exploring the new, great novels/stories and their authors each day.
And last but no least: classical music, including opera.. Tchaikovsky, Mozart, Wagner, Verdi, Puccini ...and many others... 's music is really an important part of me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I translated one of the most significant Turkish novels ('Kürk Mantolu Madonna' by Sabahattin Ali) into Polish ('Madonna w futrze'). I recommend you to read this book, you can find its translation into many European languages.
