About Me

I am a very calm, patient, respectful, and open-minded person.
Comfort/space is not something that I need: if you only have 2 meter square to share with me, I will appreciate it and use it properly. I mostly just want a safe place to stay and to leave my backpack at so that I can walk freely, and someone to share experiences with (if you happen to have free time).

I have hitchhiked around North America for multiple years, now reaching over 250 000 km covered.
I completed a hitchhiking trip in South America, and also through Iceland, France, Spain, and Morocco.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Gold Rock, Post-Rock, Mod-Classical, Trip-Hop, Down Tempo, Jazz, Blues, RnB, Soul, etc. Pretty much everything that doesn't yell.

For movies, I like to recommend two hiddens gems: "Harold and Maude", and "Coherence".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchhiking with an 18 foot long kayak over 400km in northern Canada, crossed the border with it, and arrived in Skagway (Alaska) to start a trip with a friend. We kayaked on the ocean to Juneau, and came back to drop the kayak in Haines.

Hitchhiking from Montreal to Northern Alaska, and all the way down to Argentina, and part-way back.

Teach, Learn, Share

Hitchhiking is one of the most eco-friendly way of traveling. It also provides you with unplanned adventures, forces you to explore more places (you will get dropped off in other places before reaching your planned destination), forces you to meet locals, and helps you learn a language (you have all this free time in a car with the driver... why not use it to learn the language they speak?). It is a very natural peek into a culture.

Voluntary simplicity helps you nurture the Earth and your soul.

In a lot of situations, you have the choice between being happy or sad, mad or comprehensive, etc. Choose wisely!

Waste is an absolute atrocity in this world. To be avoided at all costs.

What I Can Share with Hosts

General labor, and crazy stories.

I also tend to consider that food is the best money in the world: if I have food, I can share it. I will also gladly cook for you with any food you throw at me.
