About Me

CURRENT MISSION

If it sounds like fun, go there and take photos.

ABOUT ME

At the moment I'm studying Medicine in St Andrews, Scotland. I'm enjoying the tax free benefits of student life, and travelling hither and thither with a camera.
My hairline is indeed receding (thanks to you, genes) but I like to say that my hair is simply "limited edition".
I tend to have a camera with me most hours of the day. I listen to a huge amount of music but am a huge fan of anything rare or obscure.
I have a saxophone collecting dust somewhere, I'll let you know if I can still play it.
I believe house spiders to be BASTARDS.

PHILOSOPHY

“Be like a duck. Calm on the surface, but always paddling like the dickens underneath.” Michael Caine

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

A bit of a beginner to be honest. I've had an account but sadly haven't been active. I have a girlfriend who is eager to change this however, I promise not to embarrass her.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I spent a night on a bamboo mat floor of a Thai stilt village house in Vietnam which was pretty nuts. Also stayed for lunch with the black h'mong tribe.

Interests

Photography (medium format, 35mm, and digital) and everything geeky related to it. As a medic the human body is interesting if a little bit minging (in all the right ways). [This comment is odd, I'm considering removing it]

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Whilst travelling solo throughout north vietnam I had quite a crazy moment with a giggling tribal family looking at pictures of themselves in a guidebook I showed them.

Teach, Learn, Share

"In this life you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant,
For years I was smart, I reccommend pleasant,
Being smart can make you rich and bring respect and reverence,
But the rewards of being pleasant are far more incandescent" Scroobius Pip

I think perhaps I'd quite like to have the ability to convey profound musings without having to quote someone else.
