About Me
CURRENT MISSION
We are created to discover, to experience the creation, and to know the Creator.
ABOUT ME
At 14,000 ft above Yarra Valley, I could feel the adrenalin slowly pumping through my veins. The chill from the freezing atmosphere wrapped around my body, I could only rely on this body suit to keep me warm. From where I was, any angle was picturesque. It was literally breath taking. I was strapped onto Mike, my tandem skydiving instructor, a tall and welcoming Melbournian. He gave me a pat on my shoulder and his grin was infectious, I knew instantly this was going to be huge.
The door opened with a rush of noise and wind blast. I exchanged glances with Alex, my road trip buddy accompanying me from Brisbane to Melbourne and waved to the GoPro camera outside held by another instructor whose sole responsibility was to film my exhilarating experience. Earlier on I have expressed my intentions to Mike, that I wanted to exit the aircraft by flipping as opposed to the usual, safe and ‘boring' leap. He grinned like a Cheshire cat and gave me the thumb up. I crossed my arms unto my shoulders and tilted my head backwards to a feasible extent indicating to Mike that I was ready. We both laughed.
My ears popped. I felt my body swirled forward three times before my eyes adjusted to the magnificent view below me. Everything looked like Legos and reminded me how wonderful and gigantic this world is. Floating on a column of air thousands of feet above the ground was mind blowing. My mind couldn’t keep up with my heart, during this sixty seconds of life-changing free fall. My heart was thumping fiercely yet my mind was serene. I was giggling throughout and tried my best to retain the episode in my memory. I wanted to absorb the moment as much as possible. I gazed far into the horizon and could actually observed the curvature of the Earth. "We are created to discover, to experience the creation, and to know the Creator”, just surfaced unto my mind. Mike activated the chute to slow our descent.
Mike handed me the controls for the steering. We did a few three sixty rotations before he prepared me for the landing. Our hearty laughters brought me back to a few months earlier when I was in Singburi, Thailand with the children. I was showing them where Singapore, my country is on a map with my limited Thai during English tuition. After which, we had running games and ice cream together. I could see the genuine happiness from these innocent children even though they weren’t privileged. I went on basking in the melody of their laughters. They have blessed me instead.
Under the canopy, as I braced myself for the soft impact, I grinned to myself and recounted the other experiences I had whether this tops the List. Bungy jumping, cliff diving, snowboarding, scuba diving and other events, this definitely is special. As I landed, I felt that I was truly made for this. Truly made for adventures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When a homeless child tasted her first ice cream. She approached it slowly with curiosity. Then her tongue made contact with the cold vanilla, her face immediately portrayed the bliss fuelled by the rush of excitement.
