Overview
About Me
Hi,
I'm an avid armchair traveler, who had less money and time to travel so far. What little I have traveled, I've done in great detail. I like photography and compose really good ones but the trouble is I want to be in the picture, lol! I'm married, "happily" as I used to describe it and still am, but my perspectives have expanded and I want more from life - travel, people and experiences. I don't enjoy drinks, loud parties, drugs etc, old school in values but very open-minded about people. I love reading, watching movies - no doomsday dystopic dark violent stuff for me, nor romantic nonsense. I like to be happy and live life responsibly - big believer of Karma!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm a mom of a 24-year old and I've come a long way growing up as a person, while I was an active parent. My experiences - learning to use the new iphone, a new app, understanding Bitcoin, keeping up with world politics, global economics etc have all suffered when I became an empty nester. Couchsurf is a big step for somebody who has not yet used Airbnb. I want to understand this creed of people who retire from work to pursue happiness, who trust strangers into their homes, who share at least some of their time with complete strangers with no gain... I want to a happy 50+ person with less prejudices. I see couchsurfing as an opportunity to grow.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Yet to do that one amazing thing! I'm not an adventure junkie but I take risks, have had some near escapades, have done skydiving, snorkeled in choppy seas, have taken unconventional decisions in life and I have no regrets for things I did, only for things I didn't do. So here I go...
Teach, Learn, Share
Of all the people I know these 50 years of life, I think I'm yet to find another person who likes to do at least 3 things I like to do. I have optimism and cheer to teach and share. There's a long list of things I want to learn - mostly living with people of all sizes and walks of life. Recently, my bestie's 7-year old goddaughter opened my eyes to animals. Living with her for 2 days, taking her to the zoo, Franklin Museum, giving her a piggy back ride when my friend refused to Uber, pillowfights etc were the best learning experiences.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm not sure if people come as fresh (meaning not the brash but unspoiled) as me - that's not naivete. If you are jaded, I'm just the antidote.
