About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I want to share/compare/contrast experiences with people all over the world!
ABOUT ME
Long time Bay Area native, recent LA transplant. I'll keep this short so you get a chance to ask me questions :)
I grew up and moved around a lot as a kid (Switzerland, New Zealand, US). Settled in the Bay Area and have lived there for 20+ years. I moved to LA for a couple years, but just moved back in March 2019! No matter what, I keep finding new places to check out. Hiking and backpacking in California is amazing! I've explored all over the US (including Alaska!) and a couple other countries. With a full-time job, it's tough now, but I hope to explore more soon :)
I'm an avid triathlete and I hope that allows me to do some destination races! Nothing like a morning run or swim to jolt me into consciousness. I have too many bikes...
I love making things. Arduino boards are my new favorite toys.
Cooking and baking are some of my favorite pastimes and stress-relieving activities. I make mean chocolate chip cookies and scones.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love hosting people and hearing about the various life experiences. It really keeps me grounded. Wherever I travel, I try to meet fellow CSers (hosts and travelers)!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I surfed across Europe a couple years back with a friend and really loved the experience. Once I got back, I set up a profile and have been hosting travelers any chance I can get. It's truly amazing to hear people's experiences with this and get a chance to live vicariously through others.
Interests
I love the outdoors. I take time to be unplugged and away from technology and civilization. The sense of being free of connections is amazing! I love meeting new people and striking up conversations whenever I can!
