About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To do something good, when i can

ABOUT ME

I am a friendly and quite person, who like to travel and discover the world and various populations and people. I'm engineer, specialised in logistics, and speak 5 linguages. I like contacts, humor, and i try to be helpful, when I can!

PHILOSOPHY

If I can give to an other one the answer to a question, or the solution to a problem (helping directly if necessary), I will every time try to do it. It s the best basic method that I have founded, to try to participate at the progressing evolution of the humanity!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm travelling a lot...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My firsts couchsurfing experiences were before Internet. How it s possible? In some countries (Turkey and Syria in 76, Morocco in 78, Algeria in 79, etc, etc...), I have met some people, they invite me for a night at home. I have discover, with the time, that it was like for the hitchhicking. We had exchanges, and were learning each one from the other.

Interests

I'm now travelling around 9 months for year, but the travel around the world is not finished...

Music, Movies, and Books

A lot... Classic music, pop, jazz... More than 3000 books (I don t remain all of them....), and I have managed a cinema, when I was student.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

2017: to marry an indonesian woman in Toraja's country (met because... couchsurfing.com!!!).
Other laws, other ceremonies, a just 300 people near-family, 6 months for the officials formalities before to can go to France with her, and so on...
2016: to help a Papouan to bilt his (simple) wood home....
2014: to meet my future wife with couchsurfing.com...
How the workers of a company have help me to save a logistic key-project, in 1998.
In Philippinas : how a country goes in poverty because generalised corruption and the growing of the population. And the magnificent landscape in the town El Nido.
In Borneo, exceptionals dives in Sipadan.
In India, any day, a thing that I did'nt thought possible on the earth... Like an elephant inside a temple...

Teach, Learn, Share

Any people. I have never met an uninteresting person. Some difficult people (for the contact), but never uninteresting.

What I Can Share with Hosts

After some experiences, a lot: to cook some french dish to share a meal; to give informations about countries; to draw a project for the future houseof my hosts (yes!); to do a planning for travels; to give informations to spare more than 300 € (yes, yes...) on plane tickets and other tricks to spare money during a travel; to discuss about countries, history, sociology, philosophy...; to go with my host to ask for money for the salvation army (yes, yes...) and to discover with her a city, biking (euh... 60 kms... ?); to go to see dolphins in the desertic sea of Oman; to do a typical and familial iranian picnic (it's Ok in an other country too...); to see a burial ceremony in the Toraja's country; to learn to do Maoris flowers with dedicated herbs; and (quite) all that you will propose, I think!
