About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Go to grad school to become professors!

ABOUT ME

Brian: School consumes 95% of my time. When not doing school related stuff, I shoot a bow. In both indoor and outdoor competitions. I also enjoy cooking and playing video games on occasion.

Tamar: Ditto the school and archery. And I'm also a big fan of food. I love to cook, and I also love to sit around while Brian cooks and then eat it. We're pretty good at drinking beer, but I love a glass of wine. On a boring-ish note, I'm finishing up my Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering and about to start grad school for a Master's/PhD in Materials Science.

PHILOSOPHY

Let others be happy and do what makes you happy, as long as it doesn't interfere with the first part.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've had none so far but are looking forward to adventures.

Interests

Brian: As above, archery. I sometimes crochet, and have recently taken up knitting.

Tamar: I'm currently knitting some awesome convertible mittens (well, potentially awesome). I've been shooting archery with Brian and his family for about a couple years now. I'm, generically, an avid reader.

Music, Movies, and Books

Whoa. A ton.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Brian: I was in Germany during the 2006 world cup, that was awesome. I have also had to fortune of being very close to many "large" wild animals, like deer and elk.

Tamar: Classic response: skydiving. Also, Brian's comment about animals reminded me that I once woke up to a cat giving birth on me in the middle of the night.

Teach, Learn, Share

Knitting! Crocheting! Archery's a bit tough to pick up on the fly (bow-sizing, etc), but we can show you the basics if we have time. Aaand, we can cook a mean meal.
