About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Living the dream.

ABOUT ME

I am a pretty laid back guy I guess and enjoy the simple pleasures in life. Grew up in the midwest and haven't looked back. I used to work as a vagabond archaeologist but have decided to change careers and get into mountain guiding. At the moment I am splitting my time climbing between Chile, Alaska, and Spain.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live vicariously through myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately I do not have a permanent address at present so I can not host other surfers, which pains me a great deal because I really enjoy getting to know people and show them around. Right now I am participating primarily as a surfer, however I am not just looking for a free place to stay, but rather a new story to hear.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Stargazing in Chaco Canyon, watching a giant thunderstorm from the porch of my cabin in Costa Rica, hiking soaking wet for miles through rainforest in New Zealand because i was to cheap to buy a rain jacket, sunrises in Utah, boundary waters trip on which everything that could go wrong did, listening to a Hiroshima survivor tell me about the day the bomb dropped.

Teach, Learn, Share

I feel that it is the human connections in this life that make it worth living and I believe CS is a great source for those interactions.
