About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Learn Italian by hosting primarily Italian speakers. Help out travellers as we were helped in our round-the-word trip.
ABOUT ME
We are a young-ish couple from Brazil who met in Montreal, this fantastic city that we chose to live in several (10 and 15) years ago, through the world of dance (samba de gafieira). We are two free, friendly, respectful, easy-going and open-minded people.
Beto is a journalist and Bianca, a psychotherapist. We did a 14-month round-the world trip in 2010 and that hardly calmed our travel bugs. Check out our travel blog: mojotrotters.com
PHILOSOPHY
To live from the heart. Be honest, be open, have fun, be free.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Thanks to CS, we experienced so much of the world in an authentic way. It's our pleasure to show the people what we like best about Montreal. But, most of all, we want to connect with people and to feel that we are part of something bigger, and at the same time, make the world a little smaller!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We're used to having couch surfers (not necessarily from this website) at our place. Beto has lived in different cities outside his home native Brazil (Washington D.C., Budapest, Halifax) and now we have the chance to host wonderful people from abroad that he met throughout his life. Since we started being active in the community we have been very busy and we love it!
Interests
Bianca likes to day-dream, to have conversations that go past the weather and what we do for a living, to do Yoga, to feel the Sun, to down-hill ski, to read, to laugh, to cuddle, to explore, to dance. She has an underground soul, good listening skills, and a great love for life and friends.
Beto likes the tech world, anything food-related, to write, to play videogames, to tell stories (and jokes when he's inspired), to have fine meals and drinks (and make them!). He's a third-culture kid, a great writer, curious, smart, with a playful heart, and up to any challenge!
We both have a thrill-seeking type of personality. We both love to dance, to travel, and to live a bit on the edge :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbed a 3700-meter volcano in Guatemala (Beto).
Moved to Montreal and re-started life from zero (Bianca).
Followed the Governor General of Canada on her state visit to Brazil (Beto).
Lived among cariocas, the beautiful people of Rio de Janeiro (Bianca).
Teach, Learn, Share
Since I'm learning Italian, I'm keen to host speakers of that language so I can practice.
We can teach you "samba de gafieira" steps - a ballroom dance from Brazil that mixes some tango, swing and samba steps in a playful and sexy way.
Beto will be more than happy to show you how to cook or cook himself some Brazilian or international dishes.
Bianca can do some private tours around town as she has a flexible schedule that allows some daytime activities and companionship.
We love to share music and pick up new artists. Bring your iPod.
