Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel and meet new people, and getting to know places is really so much easier and nicer if you get to spend time with people living in that place.

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh so many. There was a time when I read at least one book every month, but alas, then came uni and reading got a bit less, and tv show watching increased significantly.
I still have so much love for books and I'm always open to reading suggestions. I try to read everything from European classics over YA literature to SciFi, Fantasy, historic novels, really anything that's well written and has interesting characters. Same goes for the tv shows, webseries and movies I love: The characters have to be authentic and layered and interesting. If that's the case, I'll pretty much watch anything.
I'm a huge lover of all things theatre, that includes musical theatre, now and then ballet, modern dance, opera, performance art, slam poetry, anything like that. I'm known to talk endlessly about sound effects in Star Wars and film music in Jane Austen movie adaptations if you don't stop me.
My music taste varies from "White Mormons sing about life's tragedies in showtunes" over "gay guy with angelic voice breaks your heart" and "punk bands who never grow up" to "women with deep voices make you shiver with their postapocalyptic visions".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Participated in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month, writing at least 50,000 words of novel in 30 days) a couple of times and actually won one time!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a bunch of chords on guitar or ukulele, a bit of juggling, how to make friendship bracelets, the German language... I'm also a resource for random trivia about certain movies, tv shows, musicians, and especially, everything theatre.

I always want to learn new languages, especially non-European ones. I'd love to improve my cooking and baking skills and I want to learn all about the countries I'm traveling in.

I love sharing baked goods, a couple of beers, stories, experiences, laughs, and life in general.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm always willing to lend a hand when it comes to cooking or cleaning, and I love baking for people (although I can't always promise great results^^).
