About Me

I'm a traveller from New Zealand who has recently moved to Edinburgh. I can't wait to use the next few years in the UK to travel as much as possible!

I am relatively new to Couchsurfing, only using it once in the Netherlands so far - but definitely believe in the concepts of being respectful, considerate and polite in someone's home. I will also be incredible grateful, and can either bring some Scottish treats or cook you a nice meal (I'm even good at cooking for people with allergies!) :)

I'm keen for a chat and drink, or to try new experiences, but can also make myself scarce if you are busy.

I’m a guest in a friends house at present so not able to take guests but hopefully I’ll find somewhere I can open my home to others soon!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I usually travel alone and so I love to meet people along the way. I've stayed in hostels a lot and still love the vibe of them, but I also want to change it up and meet locals to get a better feel for the place :)

Interests

I'm interest in most things!! I am curious and love to learn and experience what life has to offer. Presently my top interests are TRAVELLING, swimming, writing, art, geology and people! But that really only scratches the surface 😊😊

Music, Movies, and Books

I love a lot of different movies but my favourites are those that pull at the heart strings, inspire me in some way or bring me back to childhood!! The Sound of Music is still probably my favourite.

Books; I'll devour anything that's not too dark!

Lastly music: Rock - especially from the 70's and 80's and I am not past singing and dancing along to some Pop! Queen, Pink Floyd, Pink... seriously it's a mixed bag!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been lucky enough to have done so many amazing things! Walking up a icy and snow covered Gellert Hill in Budapest - trying not to fall over (and failing) is a highlight, so was roasting marshmellows over the steam vent of an active volcano in Central America.

Teach, Learn, Share

Always keen to share a story or two over a wine. I love to share experiences about travels, recommendations, anything really. :)

One thing I've learnt repeatedly is that you never know what is going to happen in life! It's an adventure and a if you're open to things and people, incredible things can happen!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Goodies from Scotland (feel free to put an order in a few days before!), a home cooked meal and a few good laughs.
