Hello! I’m Bianca Saraiva, a geologist and a master’s in mining engineering.

𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗥𝗶𝗼 𝗱𝗲 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗶𝗿𝗼, 𝗜 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟵 with dual Portuguese citizenship to pursue my master's degree. What started as a six-month internship evolved into completing my entire degree in Porto, where I’ve since made my home.

Before settling in Portugal, I embarked on 𝗺𝘆 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗼 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗽 to São Paulo for a summer conference in 2017, which ignited my passion for travel and adventure. Move to Porto city was my second solo trip. Last year, I took another 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗼 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗜𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘆 to enjoy some personal time before turning 30. Each trip offers a chance to connect with new cultures, try different foods, and create lasting memories.

I’m a nice, fun, and friendly person who enjoys staying organized. My interests include taking photos, enjoying good music, practicing sports, and exploring nature. I also love watching movies, relaxing at the beach, and experiencing the local nightlife. I’m always eager to meet new friends and make meaningful connections.

In my free time, I immerse myself in cooking and culinary experimentation. I run a page called "As Comidinhas da Bi," - Instagram Page: @ascomidinhasdabi - where I share my love for food and my culinary adventures. From trying out new recipes to discovering unique ingredients, cooking is my way of unwinding and expressing creativity.

I’m on Couchsurfing to find safe and welcoming places to stay while traveling. It’s a way to meet new people and experience different cultures. Additionally, Couchsurfing helps me save money on accommodation, allowing me to use those savings to explore more in each destination.

Music:

I have a passion for exploring diverse musical genres. From the lively rhythms of pagode and samba to the energetic beats of rock, hip hop, and pop, I love discovering new sounds and artists. Brazilian music holds a special place in my heart, but I also enjoy relaxing with classical tunes, getting energized with upbeat pop, or diving into the rhythms of jazz and world music. Music is a major part of my life, and I’m always eager to experience and appreciate new styles.

Movies:

As a movie enthusiast, I enjoy a wide range of films. I’m captivated by the magical world of Harry Potter and thrilled by Marvel’s cinematic universe. My favorites also include romantic comedies, action-packed adventures, and thought-provoking movies like Interstellar and The Theory of Everything. I appreciate how movies can transport us to different realms and offer fresh perspectives on life.

Books:

This year, I’m focusing on self-knowledge and personal development books, though Colleen Hoover remains my favorite author. Her storytelling deeply resonates with me. I enjoy exploring various genres, but personal growth and self-discovery are currently central to my reading journey. I’m always open to book recommendations and love engaging in discussions about great reads.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

One of the most incredible things I’ve done is moving to Portugal on my own in 2019. This move was a major leap out of my comfort zone and an opportunity for immense personal and professional growth. Adapting to a new culture, learning to navigate life in a different country, and ultimately building a life here have been incredibly rewarding experiences. It’s been a remarkable adventure of self-discovery and embracing new challenges.
