Hi everyone!

I am Bianca, 22 years old and currently finishing off my Master's in Economics in Amsterdam! Next to my studies, I love to go running, go to festivals, do picknicks in parks with friends, go to theatre performances or comedy nights, go (rope) climbing, or go out for food or drinks. But most of all, I'm a huge travelling fan! I've lived abroad in Los Angeles, London and Hong Kong and have also travelled around California, parts of Europe and South East Asia. I am now very excited to explore more of the world, hopefully with help of couchsurfing!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To be honest, the first reason why couchsurfing came to my mind was because I'm on a very tight student budget but would still like to see new places. However, this is definitely NOT the only reason I joined. From many friends I have heard only positive stories about couchsurfing: they've met lots of nice people, they really got to mingle with locals and integrate with the culture of the countries they visited and staying on someone's couch is a lot more personal than staying in other accommodation. This is why I'm very much looking forward to make use of couchsurfing, to explore the world a little more and get to know locals in the places that I'm visiting! I'm also very happy to host people at my place and therefore offer accommodation as well as local advice and a home :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite Music: It sounds super cliché but I like lots of different types of music! If I'm at home, I love to listen to Indie rock music, like Mumford & Sons, Vance Joy and the Lumineers. If I go to a festival, I like to dance on electronic/techno music, but I can also appreciate house (or deephouse) music. But I can also definitely enjoy a night at a jazz or blues bar, or singing along with 90s songs now and then :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing things I did was scuba diving on Gili Meno, this was an unforgettable experience!

I can share my enthusiasm and excitement! I am always excited to get to know new places and new people. I am also a very warm and open-minded person, and would love to host people and make them feel at home :)
