I live and work in East London in the charity sector but I have also lived in Manchester, Paris and Ouagadougou.

I love to travel and meet new people but when I'm home I am mainly into cooking and eating good food, going to art galleries or watching live music and singing and conducting in an all female community choir.

I am a sociable and curious person.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The best way to explore a new city is through the locals and so couch surfing is the perfect way to do that and I have heard great stories of new friends made by fellow travellers who use it.

My partner and I are about to embark on a big world trip from 2019-2020 working our way through East Africa and Central America. We would like to meet local people along the way either to stay with or just meet up with so that we can get to know what life is like for the people who live there rather than just sightseeing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living in a different continent was pretty interesting and getting to know the culture and language. I learnt some Mooré which is spoken in Central Burkina, at least enough to haggle in the market and ask after someone's family. Sadly mostly forgotten now so if anyone speaks it I'd love to brush up again!

Cycling down the hills of Mallorca has to be one of the most exhilarating things.
