Overview
About Me
Its been two years since I left Brazil, my home country, to travel and learn. In this time I've been mainly at farms, ecovillages and permaculture projects, learning about organic gardening, natural building and any sustainable technique possible.
After doing a yoga teacher training course, in a school where I lived during three months, I also looked out for opportunities of work or work exchange teaching yoga and have been to Indonesia and Thailand teaching.
Before I left Brazil, I sold all my things: furniture, books, clothes. Only with the backpack as my belongings, I aim to learn as much as I can, until I go back to Brazil to apply and share all the knowledge I came across. The main idea is to create or join an ecoville, living of the land and showing how we can create the future that we want: in balance, in nature, in peace.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I hosted a couple in Brazil for two weeks - these amazing girls that were travelling all south america by car, with their dog Enero.
After being hosted for a couple times myself, I really think this is one of the nicest ways of traveling: meeting people from the cities, listening to them and really getting in contact with the local culture and thoughts.
I believe, as well, that if you are opened to help, you will probably receive help when you need - and if everyone did so, the world would be a much nicer place.
Interests
I'm interested in knowing people and different cultures - I'm always willing to hear and learn about something I don't know - thats why I worked as a journalist before and why I love to travel.
I like to share ideas and thoughts about culture, books, music, movies, sociology, people, politics, permaculture, bioproduction, yoga, etc etc
I am a vegetarian and like to share and try different recipes, loving to cook and try all sort of weird things I can come across in different countries.
I love to do outside sports as trekking. I use the bicycle really oft and like to do some short trips with the bike as well.
I like animals too!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I left a so called "normal life" to pursuit my dream :D
Hitchhiking in Ireland, England, India, Thailand and Indonesia.
A community vegetable garden in the building I used to live. I talked to the neighbors, asked and invited them to the project and they accepted. I don't live there anymore, but the vegetable garden is still alive, producing fresh organic food for the ones that live there.
A night hiking in a dark mountain near Curitiba, in Brazil. And then a night hike in Indonesia.
And paragliding (during my working time - thats the nice thing about being a journalist!).
