About Me

I am from a Himalaya country, Nepal. Currently abroad pursuing my masters in Ecology. I have been an enthusiast traveler, explorer and avid conservationist. The international travelling started once I began my studies in Europe. It has been an amazing and enriching experience since then. It has taken me to many places and taught equally. Many friends and beautiful souls I met along the journey. The feeling is exhilarating.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet, eat and see locally. This is really wonderful idea of sharing the space for a stranger who then leave as friend, sharing experiences in between. This generous idea of sharing is beautiful.

Interests

I love, admire and do photography ( https://500px.com/bibekrajshrestha ). I like capturing the moment. Love portrait, street photography and landscapes.

Besides, I love nature and mountains. Love being lost in her serenity.

Music, Movies, and Books

Been fan of Dan Brown. His thriller fiction has taken me in deciphering codes as I indulge to his "Angels and demons', "Da Vinci Code", "The lost symbol". Has been a slow reader these days !!

My playlist is very mood oriented. Yet I listen to songs that sings wonder lyrics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There was a 7.8 magnitude of earthquake back in April 2015 in Nepal. Many lives were lost and many injured. Kathmandu where I grew among the temples were broken, looked empty and felt void. I once did a photo story ( https://youtu.be/BYqBe3y-pu0 ) on one of the victims from the fall of a temple during the earthquake. I was fortunate enough to raise some money contributing for a year scholarship of the victim's son. I think, I felt that was the amazing thing I have ever done.

Other amazing experience would be spending 2 months in Wildlife Reserve for Tiger monitoring. Similar amazing experiences while hiking, trekking to arduous mountains, paragliding, snorkeling with sharks, turtles and sea lions in Galapagos and stories of being in wild.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to talk on contemporary issues on environment, about life, wildlife, about fun and living. Besides, I am great listener too !!
