I've created this account a long time ago, but now, I use it with my wife.

We love learning, discovering and sharing. We practice many activities in various fields (engineering, improvisation, photography, hiking, drone...) and whatever is your passion, we will have no difficulty to find common interests! I was born in Guadeloupe, and at 4 yo, I went to live in Zurich, Switzerland. Since that time, lived in Dijon and Dole (France), in Feldkirch (Austria), Pasadena (USA) and in Lausanne (back to Switzerland).
Since 2016, I'm a co-founder of a Start-up close to the Drone industry: it's a lot of work but it's an exciting adventure every single day.
Irina is my wife, and we live together in Lausanne. She is from Odessa in Ukraine but travels for some years across Europe. She is an Economist and a Russian teacher. She has been a Ski instructor when she was living in Norway... So many things to tell about her that I could write a full saga.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We travelled quite a lot together. But something was missing... travelling and enjoying local knowledge. We find our pleasure in authentic meetings and activities. So here we are, back on Couchsurfing! We love sharing time with new people, drinking a few beers, enjoying unexpected places...

On the other hand, we are going to be able to host people (again), to show that Lausanne is maybe not super big, but that it's an incredible place. Nature, local life, history... it's extremely motivating to live here. Feel free to write to me to sleep at our place, or to meet for a guided tour, a coffee, a beer ...

Interests

the most important is to discover new cultures and meet people with their own experiences.
We had many "lives" already, including very various activities.
We practised Improvisational theatre, Soccer, Violin, Piano, Journalism (radio, journal, website), Ski Instructor, Photography, Stand-up Comedy, painting... I can't say that we had time to became good at anything, but we had a strong interest in all of these very various topics. So... I believe we have very open fields of interest =)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was attacked by a moray eel in the Mediterranean, while I was only with a mask, a snorkel and a net. The adrenaline allowed me to hit the attacker's temple with a very violent dip, which led him to turn back.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you many things about improvisation, and how much this can be helpful every day. I can also make you discover many things about European culture.
And finally, I would be very happy to cook for you some good typical french food (And of course, with goooood wine... or champagne???)
