About Me
Hi! :)
It's Jay and Àlex,
After traveling by bicycle from Barcelona (Catalunya, Spain) till Santiago de Compostela (Galicia, Spain) to warm up a little bit, we are now cycling in direction Asia since September 2023 with the goal to reach China...and after reaching it, who knows how and where the travel will continue :)
We want to travel by bike around the world because it is a respectful mean of transport with the environment and it is slow enough to allow us getting in touch with other cultures, meet new people, and discover new places and ways of living.
Well, anyway what else could we say about us? Something that is important to us is that we want to find a way to live in both spiritual and physical harmony with the universe and nature, and both of us are slowly setting out on a quest for self-sufficiency :)

Sadly we started using this kind of platform only after beginning to travel the world. But we hope in the future we will have the opportunity to welcome people in our home, wherever and whenever it's gonna be😊
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We prefer to use other non-profit apps like Warm Showers, Be Welcome, or Trustroots, which we consider that are still conserving the essence and philosophy of that type of networks. But in some countries, they are not so well known neither used, so we have to use Couchsurfing!
But aside of that, we use those type of networks because we want to meet and get in touch with local people, learn about different cultures, learn about the traditional food, music, way of living, folklore, and try to learn new languages!:)
We really want to get in touch with the local people and discover their ways of living and the culture.
Oh, but also honestly sometimes it is also great to not sleep in the camping tent and it is also nice to spend time with more people than just my traveling buddie XD
PS: we are easy going people and we don't need much! We will be really happy if we have a corner on the floor to sleep or a safe place where to set up the camping tent and put our bikes;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
What does it mean amazing? For us an amazing thing is to enjoy life in the present moment and that is what we are trying to do :)
We have had an "alternative" lifestyle for several years that probably could not be described as standard life and for some people it could sound amazing and for other well... not so much!🤭🤣
Travelling long distances by bike to explore the world is now our current adventure and way of living
Teach, Learn, Share
We like to share time with people; explain our adventures and experiences, ways of living and listen the same from others; have deep conversations but also funny ones; play board games; cultural, linguistical, musical and gastronomical exchange.
We can teach something about juggling with a staff and handmade jewellery; we can tell you something about engineering and energy if you are interested on it hahahaha.
We are really interested to know more about all things that can help us to achieve a higher level of self-sufficiency like knowledge about plants, sustainable agriculture, bioconstruction, etc.
We are also interested to learn and share about spirituality, meditation, corporal exercises (yoga, tai chi, etc.); We love nature, so we would be super happy to make outdoor activities in the nature and discover beautiful places :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Some good vibes, our stories and adventures, culture exchange, cooking some of our traditional dishes, helping you with tasks if you need,... :)
