It's Àlex!
After traveling by bicycle from Barcelona (Catalunya, Spain) till Santiago de Compostela (Galicia, Spain) to warm up a little bit, I started cycling from Barcelona towards Asia in September 2023 without a specific goal or destination... who knows where the travel will bring me :)

I want to travel by bike around the world because it is a respectful mean of transport with the environment and it is slow enough to allow me getting in touch with other cultures, meet new people, and discover new places and ways of living.

Well, anyway what else could I say about me? Something that is important to me is that I want to find a way to live in both spiritual and physical harmony with the cosmos, and I am slowly setting out on a quest for self-sufficiency :)

Sadly I started using this kind of platform only after beginning to travel the world. But I hope in the future I will have the opportunity to welcome people in my home, wherever and whenever it's gonna be😊

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I prefer to use other non-profit apps like Warm Showers, Be Welcome, or Trustroots, which I consider that are still conserving the essence and philosophy of that type of networks. But in some countries, they are not so well known neither used, so I have to use Couchsurfing!

But aside from that, I use those type of networks because I want to meet and get in touch with local people, learn about different cultures, learn about the traditional food, music, way of living, folklore, and try to learn new languages!:)
I really want to get in touch with the local people and discover their ways of living and the culture.
Oh, but also honestly sometimes it is also great to not sleep in the camping tent and it is also nice to spend time with people XD

PS: I am an easy going person and I don't need much! I will be really happy if I have a corner on the floor to sleep or a safe place where to set up the camping tent and put my bike ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

What does it mean amazing? For me an amazing thing is to enjoy life in the present moment and that is what I am trying to do :)

I have had an "alternative" lifestyle for several years that probably could not be described as standard life and for some people it could sound amazing and for others, well...not so much!🤭🤣

Travelling long distances by bike to explore the world is now my current adventure and way of living

I like to share time with people; explain my adventures and experiences, ways of living and listen the same from others; have deep conversations but also funny ones; play board games; cultural, linguistical, musical and gastronomical exchange.

I can tell you something about engineering and energy if you are interested on it hahahaha.

I am really interested to know more about all things that can help me to achieve a higher level of self-sufficiency like knowledge about plants, sustainable agriculture, bioconstruction, etc.
I am also interested to learn and share about spirituality, meditation, corporal exercises (yoga, tai chi, etc.); I love nature, so I would be super happy to make outdoor activities in the nature and discover beautiful places :)
