ABOUT ME

I could say that I´m an easy going girl, positive and energic. I´m talkative, quite outgoing, and I really like to meet different people, different cultures, traditions, etc. I´m really into discovering and learning new things, and I think travelling is one of the best ways to achieve that.

I like to think and debate philosophical (and non philosophical) questions. Reading is one of my biggest indoor hobbies, and lately I´m also practicing meditation every day. I´m also learning to play the guitar, since I have a guitar player at home ;) Talking about outdoor activities, I love everything related with nature, specially with mountains!! I hate injustices and I usually try to fight them.

Other of my biggest passions is medicine; I admire it like a science, and also because it gives me the possibility to stay with different kinds of people, during their best or their worst times, always sharing emotions with them.

So... I think that I´m passionate about life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In my opinion, CS should be more than just a tool to travel cheaply. When I met this community, I fell in love with the idea of sharing experiences with "local" people, who could teach me something more than I could learn as a typical tourist. It´s wonderful to meet people who are open, different, and at the same time, so similar; it´s fantastic to share moments and feelings with them. Therefore, I have to say that I will probably reject requests from people who are simply looking for a place to stay.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I´ve started doing CS this summer (2014), and after the fantastic experiences that I´ve had, I can´t imagine future holidays without it! I also would like to share more experiences with people who want to know more about the Basque Country! :)

SURFING:
- 2014: I travelled around Ireland on August (3 weeks), and we stayed in four different houses, during a week more or less. All the experiences were really successful for us; we really loved to be with all of them!
We spent three nights with a very friendly couple in Newcastle, one night with our Polish friends in Sligo, another one with three fantastic housemates in Westport, and the last two days with our Portuguese friend in Cork. Thank you very much for all, our trip would be very different without you!

HOSTING:
- 2014: The first guests we have had at home were two fantastic Italian boys, who taught us a lot, and who helped me opening more and more my mind! I really liked this experience; it was amazing! Thank you very much, guys!

- 2015: The second guests were our second hosts in Ireland. We had a good time in Sligo with them, but here in the Basque Country, they became real friends for us! We really enjoyed the time we spent with them, talking, laughing, going out, ... The days with them were fantastic, thank you so much, sweeties! ;)

- 2016: La tercera experiencia fue con nuestros amigos de Cataluña, que vinieron a pasar unos días a Euskal Herria a mediados de febrero. Corto pero intenso!! Nos despedimos con lágrimas en los ojos, y con un sentimiento claro de que esto sólo acababa de empezar!

- 2016:The next adventure was with our friends from Quebec and Poland. They stayed in Durango for a couple of days, and we had the opportunity to learn a lot about each ones culture and life styles! Hope to can share more experiences in the future!

- 2016: En la quinta experiencia conocimos a Pol, escritor argentino que pasaba por Euskal Herria con el propósito de encontrar los orígenes de su apellido. Fueron unos días muy agradables, que espero poder repetir pronto donde sea! :)

- 2016: The last to come were our three friends from Flandria, with whom we didn´t stop laughing; it was really nice! We learnt a lot about both countries, and we tasted very good beers! Hope to see you soon, friends!
