About Me

I've been spending almost all of my time in Denver these days but I still try to get out of the country once or twice a year. Pretty much always down for a hike/bike/brew.

I've never been a guy who can sit still for very long. I always feel bad if I don't have some type of trip planned every month. I feel like we don't have enough time on this planet for all there is to do and see!

My friends have been scattered across the United States and I've either flown out to see them or driven long distances to see them. It's a lot about the journey and a lot about the people.

If you only live once, then live it like you want it and be a humanitarian, we're all in this together. I believe in living by the golden rule and that is to just treat everyone with respect because I want to be treated with respect too.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed a lot in London and Stockholm when I went abroad and have done some hosting here in the states as well. I'm a really involved host generally so I generally only host when I can show people around.

Interests

Hiking, urban exploration, swapping culture and of course, beer, beer and more beer, and traveling. I bike, run, hit the batting cages, maybe the driving range, I really enjoy being active.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books:

I'm very into urban design and planning so I read about sociology and urban planning.

Movies & TV:
Well I don't have cable and I don't watch television shows online or ever see movies in theaters. It's not that I DON'T like movies, it's just never on my list of things to do!

I really liked Sunshine, Slumdog Millionaire, The Jacket, A Knight's Tale, Home Alone...
I'm really bad at listing movies I like, there's plenty but I can't ever think of any.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Arriving at the top of a 12,000ft mountain in Keystone, CO. The view was incredible and combined with the snowboarding, an unforgettable moment for me.

Having seen both the East and West coasts of the United States.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I'm a Systems Administrator/Network Engineer, I've got lots of practical computer advice to be given that's actually worth something. It's literally my most valuable thing I can teach since I make a living doing it.

I guess I've also got plenty of advice for living in the US, if you're from abroad.

I'd really like to learn how to make new dishes! I really enjoy cooking since it's invaluable and in many ways, determines how healthy you are.
