I'm a goofy, easy-going guy. I'm a movie buff and a hockey addict. I'm open-minded and love trying and learning new things, especially outdoor activities, but am also up for relaxing with a beer and watching the game just about any time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm a newbie, but have a lot of friends who've surfed, hosted, and had great experiences doing so.

Interests

I love hockey and can enjoy almost any sport. I dropped film school quickly, but still love film-making and watching all sorts of movies. I love exploring the outdoors, and want to learn more about camping, hiking, and other outdoor activities. I spend way too much time on hashing (an international drinking club with a running problem), and am constantly trying to find the next amazing place in my city to set a trail and chug a beer (rooftops, waterfalls, abandoned subway tunnels, etc).

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm not too picky or passionate about any one kind of music. I looooooove movies, from independent and artsy flicks to big-budget blockbusters. Most of my 'reading' is via audiobooks on long drives, and I enjoy anything suspenseful or that has a good philosophical/sci-fi component.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Close encounter with a pissed off bull elephant in the wild in South Africa when I was 9. Need to top that before I die.
