About Me

We are avid travelers. I have been to over 30 countries and my wife is quickly catching up. We currently live in Seattle, Washington. If you are ever visiting, feel free to message me as I love meeting travelers from other countries. Our most recent trip was in winter of 2019, through China were we visited 5 amazing cities including Beijing, Chi'an, Suzhou, Wuxi, Hangzhou, and Shanghai.

Previously in 2016, my wife and I backpacked for our honeymoon through central and South America. We backpacked through Mexico, Belize, Costa Rica, Peru, Chile, Argentina and Uruguay.

In 2013, I backpacked 16 countries through the Middle East and Eastern Europe for 3 months through Israel, Greece, Hungary, Croatia, Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Romania, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland and Turkey.

In 2011, I impulsively picked up and moved to Denver from Florida. It was risky since I knew nobody, had no job, or a place to live, and was depending on Couchsurfing when I got there. Luckily, within a week, I had a job and an apartment, and my life was more in order than ever before. I set forth on an adventure and that is what I got. I'm all about trying to new things and couchsurfing seems like the best way to meet people like me. I met my wife while living in Denver and introduced her to the crazy world of Couchsurfers.

2009, I learned about couchsurfing while studying abroad in Utrecht, Netherlands. At that time I also backpacked Italy, Czech Republic, France, U.K., and Germany.

I enjoy exploring, whether it's getting lost on a wooded trail, driving down a random street with a funny name or taking random trips to nowhere. I like to travel, and go on adventures. I have backpacked across Europe, living in the Netherlands for 6 months and have taken a random spur of the moment trip to Canada. I have a degree in Advertising from University of Florida, my real estate license and feel that I am always at a point in my life that I can do or move anywhere I want. I am a hippie at heart, but a young professional with a vision. I love life and live for every moment of it!

PHILOSOPHY

Just say yes to every new experience.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I no longer host since I got married but I love meeting other travelers visiting my city so I can show them around and make new international friends. I also utilize Couchsurfing whenever I travel so I can either find a local mixer or somebody local that knows the area and can show us the best local spots for food and things to see. I will always try to return the favor when they visit my home city.

When I moved to Denver, I couchsurfed until I found my own apartment. Once I had my own place, I gave back to the community and offered my spare bed and couch to other travelers. I made all of my friends through the local CS Mixers and helped build the community in Denver that it is today.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed for 10 days when I moved to Denver. I have hosted several people on different occasions. I attended the weekly CS Denver meetings almost religiously and many other events through Couchsurfing. Majority of my favorite people and best friends are couchsurfers. I have organized several events including a camping road trip to Yellowstone National Park. We had 3 cars and 12+ Couchsurfers on the trip. I also hosted a random redneck outing to watch a Monster Trucks Rally, where 20 something CSers attended and had a blast. I also hosted the weekly meeting spot for Couchsurfers doing Denver Cruisers, where 1000+ bicyclers get together take over the downtown city streets, usually causing quite a ruckus. I enjoy the people involved in the community and I plan on continuing my participation as an active Couchsurfer for many years to come.

Interests

Small obsession with vintage European cars, primarily Volvos (owned an '84 and '71) and BMW (owned 4 different models from the 80s) I also enjoy playing Texas Hold 'em Poker, hiking, fishing, exploring, traveling, and just meeting random people.
