Hi! I'm Emily. I currently live in southwestern China. I left the United States in 2015, and since then have been based in various spots in Asia, primarily China. I study Chinese and am currently studying Chinese economics and trade alongside various work projects, including teaching, translation, and non-profit work. In the fall of 2019 I'll attend Boston University to complete my MBA. In my free time I practice yoga, circus arts, and acroyoga, I also hike and as of a few months ago looove to rock climb. I'm trying to learn to love running but it's an arduous process! I enjoy macrame, I'm a vegetarian, and I am driven to have a positive impact on the world.

I'll listen to anything except for polka & country. For movies bring on the comedy and Harry Potter. Not particularly refined tastes there, but RE television I love Poirot, 30 Rock, Parks & Rec, etc. I prefer reading and will gobble up most things, though I love a good non-fiction story and historically accurate novels.

Hmm...most recently went on a multi-day trek on the border of Nepal and India despite having food poisoning and vomiting my way 24 km, most of which was uphill, but worth the views of Everest and Kanchenjunga.
