ABOUT ME

Hi my name is Dave, I'm a 26 year old guy from Ireland , Just moved to Manchester to finish up the old studying thing that I managed to escape from some time ago. Spent the last 2 and a half years travelling round Asia living in Australia and travelling round South America.Shenanigans were had a plenty and good times all round.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I have been (shamefully) purely a taker of the couch surfing experience but hopefully with the approval of my new house mates (give me a few weeks to work on them people) I hope to become a fully functional couch surfing participant

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Stayed with an awesome guy in Rio for Carnival named Daniel. Showed me the sights and sounds of Rio and explained to me what half of it all meant as I was rather clueless. Also attended a few events and met a few rather odd and amazing people

兴趣

Really into the usual stuff. Love going to see live music. Will go to see anything from funky house to rock to ska to metal and everything in between . Also love movies the weirder the better, socialising and exhibits of almost anything and pretty much anything new that travelling has to offer me. Want to learn as much about where I am as possible and hopefully through couchsurfing see the countries I visit in a way you cant as a tourist.
A new experience is very rarely a bad one!!

Favourite music is all over the place. Love Radiohead, Sigur ros, Incubus, Rodrigo y Gabriella Queens of the Stone Age, Friendly Fires. Like funky House music for a night out especially Felix the Housecat, Girltalk, 2manyDJ's Chromeo and Peaches. Love hard rock like Tool, RATM,SOAD, and not so hard rock like White Stripes.As long as its not just crap (by definition crap means the Black Eyed Peas) ill give it a listen

Movies the same, anything good. Watching a lot of Coen Brother back catalogue at the minute and finally trying to get over my David Lynch phobia, Let the incomprehension begin.

Books mostly factual stuff and biographies. Read Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance on this trip that was interesting

Best thing on this trip was India in its entirety. The Burning Ghats in Varanasi(multiple open air cremations) were particularly mad. Cant wait to go back.

Want to learn everything espically about the countries I visit. I have never heard anyone complain that they know to much so the more the merrier.Would love to learn a bit about better photography

If anyone is interested I can show them how to feign interest while reading a law book in a library. don't all rush at once
