ABOUT ME

We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful what we pretend to be - Kurt Vonnegut. I like to pretend I'm a ballet dancer in the Himalayan mountains. So I guess I'm a ballet dancer in the Himalayas.

Well I think it is high time I updated this section. This used to be a section chock full of references to my corporate job, my thirst for knowledge, and my quest for crazy travel experiences.

I'm a New Yorker (born and raised). Spent most of the first 27 years of my life there (lived in Israel for 5 years and London for a year). New York is still my favorite place in the world, but its not the right place for me now.

Spent the last year and a half travelling New Zealand and Australia (living in Tasmania for 8 months). Now, after a 5 month stint back in NYC, I am moving to Brno, Czech Republic.

PHILOSOPHY

Try to make yourself a little uncomfortable. Often, we live are lives within the same "zone" and we don't like to experience change. My favorite people to hang out with are the ones I have nothing in common with. It forces me to learn about them and find a common ground.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I (a Yank) and an Aussie cooked an authentic Irish stew for an Irish guy, Romanian guy and French couple in Dublin. That is a true couchsurfing experience.
