About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Get on your feet and make it happen!
ABOUT ME
Curiosity should be my second name: I'm always trying to take in everything that's happening around me. Understanding the way different people from different cultures deal with everyday life is one of the most interesting things I'm constantly exploring.
New things (especially foreign food) fascinate me and I'm ready to try everything (except bungee jumping). I usually need action and input, but I also enjoy staying in bed all weekend reading a book or trying to knit fancy egg warmers. I love music and arts, museums and exhibitions, travelling to far-away places and coming back home, playing board games and playing the viola, being alone and being part of a big group, crazy nights out and quiet nights at home. I'm always in a good mood and I absolutely agree with Momma Gump's opinion on life and chocolate boxes.
PHILOSOPHY
There are two kinds of people in the world: ones who fancy their dream and ones who actually make it happen. What you are doing right now, at this moment, decides which one you are.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love the way of seeing new places from a local's point of view. If I've got a free afternoon or a free weekend, I'll be happy to show you around the famous "Altstadt".
I commute to work from Mon-Fri so I have to leave Heidelberg VERY EARLY every morning. Weekends are best for surfing my couch because I'll ask you to leave with me at around 6.20 am...
I'm happy to offer my couch to everyone who is interested in meeting new people and sharing stories about the world.
I don't provide free accomodation for party folk anymore.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
It's always fun to host people since you never know who will knock on your door until they're there :)
All the people who have surfed my couch in Mosbach and Heidelberg have been great guests and a real pleasure to meet!
Especially the surfing experience in Uzbekistan 2012 showed me how fantastic it feels to be part of the CS community! It's not only like meeting a friend you've never seen before but sometimes even like visiting relatives you just haven't met for a while.
Interests
I enjoy ...
* sipping coffee and watching life around me without turning a page in my book
* walking around looking up instead of looking down on my boring feet
* cooking with more spices than just salt & pepper
