ABOUT ME
I like the outdoors, bicycling, mathematics, cheese, deep fried foods (deep fried cheese?), and people. Sometimes I'll try and pretend I don't like people, but I secretly enjoy them. I live in a house in the hills, which sits in a nature reserve, and would love to share my little piece of this earth. I MUST warn you, my house is a bit of a refuge for spiders and the things they eat. I have also been told that I have a roommate, but I see her so infrequently that I've decided she's part of my overly inactive imagination.
I'm here on CS because I enjoy meeting all those new & interesting people out there who you pass walking down the street and never actually become acquainted with.
I would love to sit down and have a conversation with each and every person I see, but I'm here on CS instead.
I may also be interested in giving bicycle tours of the bay area, if I'm not too busy. Bonus points if you have a vintage (or faux vintage) steel road frame, read Bike Snob NYC, like long walks on the beach, or enjoy the film 'Idiocracy'.
I also wrote a short poem just for CS (and you're welcome to make fun of me for this):
Surfing the waves
of stranger generosity.
Indeed a small world
made smaller by couches,
warm and comfy for all.
Such a grand gesture,
to invite a guest to stay,
and fill out that couch.
PHILOSOPHY
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epicureanism (not that I strictly adhere to this, but I'm definitely a 'simple pleasures' sort of person).

Music, Movies, and Books
I love movies, music, and books. Who doesn't? I don't pick favourites though, just in case that's what I'm supposed to put here. Nice try, CS.
As far as music goes, I like pretty much everything EXCEPT country. I used to hate pop music, but these days I love it. Perhaps because throughout my youth I rebelled against pop music (and anything popular, for that matter), and have since decided to give it a shot.
If you like books, I can take you to my favourite used book store, which I often peruse.
