CURRENT MISSION
Ride there, try the food and drink the beer
ABOUT ME
My name is Thom. I ride heavily laden bikes for fun. I also teach English to those that want to learn (and some that don't)
I like to juggle in the sunshine and sing and sing to the road.
I enjoy taking photos, but often forget to carry my camera. My phone is full of nice photos.
I am quietly cultivating a magnificent beard.
I think everyone should like ska music.
People should also like soul music.
I want to meet you!
PHILOSOPHY
A bad decision and a story to tell is better than regretting inactivity.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've not really couchsurfed much. Only once, in Munich with a guy I met who was cycling up to Edinburgh. It was an excellent experience that included a halloween party, a Lord of the Rings marathon and a Bavarian breakfast.
Interests
Cycling, looking at things, challenging myself, reading quietly unter a tree/by a lake/of a bench/bus or train. Drinking beer and talking about things, usually with other people. Meeting said people in order to talk about things. I'm a very simple man really

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have seen my beard. I've cycled to Istanbul from England. More, though, I regularly get the fery across the Bosphorus in Istanbul. During sunset, it's the greatest place to be.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have few real skills aside from the ability to stay upright on my bike. I can juggle pretty well and I can play a few songs on the ukelele. That could be a transferable skill.
I'm also an English teacher, which could come in useful.
I can fix a bike, I can build a fire and I can cook a mean meatball.
I'm open to learning whatever you can get to stick.
