My name is Bilge and I am a 22-year-old student. I am studying Management Engineering at Istanbul Technical University in Turkey. Last year, I was in Paris for Erasmus exchange program in Université Paris X Nanterre.

Last year, I discovered that it is definitely a wonderful experience for me to be alone and away from home. It's a great way of getting to know yourself and having a wider understanding of the world. Since then, I try to take any chance to enhance my life by fulfilling it with plenty of activities, and travelling has already become a passion for me.

I think the best way to get to know a new city/ country is to meet locals who can share all their advice and experience with you as well as giving some cultural tips. And for me couchsurfing is also a great way to feel home in a foreign country!

Travelling comes first of course! I am interested in art and music- I used to play the guitar. I love swimming, cycling, doing yoga as well as watching movies and reading about psychology and philosphy. I am also into learning different languages and cultures.

I listen to every kind of music but my favorite singers are Mariah Carey, The Passenger, Jason Mraz, Queen, Céline Dion, Ed Sheeran, James Blunt, Shakira, Maroon 5, Zaz and Enrique Iglesias.

My favorite movies are all the films of Johnny Depp and Tim Burton. I also like Woody Allen's movies.

My favorite books are The Little Prince and Dear John.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Visiting Egypt was definitely the most amazing thing I have ever done. Apart of witnessing the revolution there in 2013, I experienced many amazing things such as sleeping in the middle of desert, diving into the Red Sea and visiting the incredible Giza Pyramides.
