About Me
CURRENT MISSION
understanding our cat's language and improving my communication skills :)
ABOUT ME
I was born in Istanbul and grew up there. I love my home city. It is a mixture just like me. I have elders from Thessalonica, the Crimea, Bulgaria, Bosnia Herzegovina just like Istanbul.
I'm doing Translation Studies and Interpreting, we can also say I'm studying Transcultural Communication. Translation is a kind of transcultural communication, you know. I like making cultures communicate :)
PHILOSOPHY
Have your own teeth when you are 80. Stay healthy.
Don't hesitate to criticise yourself, but find the balance.
Believe in change.
Don't do things you don't like. Become the person you want to become.
Trust yourself.
[If you think you can do a thing or think you can't do a thing, you're probably right.- Henry Ford]
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I also want to show that hospitality has not died yet and I expect to experience the same! :)
Imho cities have to be experienced with locals, with insiders, otherwise you don't feel the spirit of them. That's why CS is a wonderful idea! Because visiting the cities without locals does not mean so much as it does with locals.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I haven't hosted someone in my apartment yet but I was a kind of co-host by my brother, when he hosted people.
