About Me

World traveller, Theater lover, I go to live shows constantly. From 100 seats to 70,000, I try to be where the best music happens. I like to see music and art and culture where it originates. I immerse myself in history and geography.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travel a lot and anything a traveller can save on accommodations helps them to extend and enhance their experience. I am willing to share my space with others on a budget because others have done the same for me.

Music, Movies, and Books

When asked what my favorite music is, I often reply... Good music. I'm not a fan of so called musicians that use auto-tune whether it be in so called country or so called rap. If you say country, I think Buck Owens, Ernest Tubb, Ray Price, Hank Williams. If you say rap, I think Public Enemy, Common, Tribe called Quest! I also love Jazz, Afro-Cuban, Funk and Punk. Too many movies to mention but definitively Scify and anything historical in nature. I often read books that mean something to me over and over.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, I was saved and made a better person and adult by joining the Army during the cold war and serving in a combat arms Tank unit (3/64 tank bat. 3rd Inf. Div., 7th Corps) in Schweinfurt, Germany from 1983 to 85. Living in Germany and Europe changed my perspective and outlook on life. I think globally instead of nationally.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to share knowledge about music, art, geography, theater, philosophy and I enjoy debate between friends about what life is really supposed to encompass.
