About Me

I just graduate college of Whitman College and am traveling the world in order to understand it and experience it! I am interested in international relations, history, rock climbing, the outdoors, live music, beer, coffee, and conversations with people! I am traveling around with an open mind and am excited to see where my travels take me!

So far Couchsurfing has been the best part of my travels! My hosts and I have rock climbed together, shared stories and experiences, and we have learned so much about the world together! I enjoy couchsurfing because it connects people with locals so you can see how they live and think in a global cultural exchange! I cannot wait until I have my own place so I can host!!

I am curious, passionate, and "pretty chill" - I want to see how you live and I can share with you my experiences in America and on my travels!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To travel the world to learn more about it and the people on it. As an international relations guy, I love learning about people, politics, and history, which couchsurfing gives the best experience to truly understanding this!

In college and at my parents house I was able to extend out an extra bed/couch to many traveling friends, so when I learned about Couchsurfing I was instantly hooked!

The world is full of wonderful people who love to help, share, and learn just as much as I do.

Interests

I am interested in politics, international relations, history, rock climbing, craft beer, music shows (anything really - I have been to many rock, electronic music, blues, jazz, and other shows), meeting people, and am all around curious!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Electronic music (trance, trap, psytrance, goatrance, house, hard techno, etc)
Rock (metal, classic, etc)

TOOL

Will go to nearly any live show!

Movies/Tv Shows: I am really into action, political, drama, satire and historical movies and tv shows (attack on titan, black mirror, game of thrones, peaky blinders, house of cards, marco polo, and south park are my current favorites)

Books: political, historical, drama, etc - currently reading A Spy Among Friends and Supreme Command

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently wrote a 40 page thesis for my Politics Major (titled: Drone Death Worlds) about drone strikes in the Federally Administered Tribal Regions in Pakistan.

Hitchhiking into an underground rave in the middle of the forrest in Southern France. Breaking up a fight in Krakow where one guy got kicked unconscious because the Kebab server would not let a French guy order from his shop.

Standing on the Normandy beaches in France, taking in the scenery that I had seen from years of playing Call of Duty and Medal of Honor left me absolutely awestruck and speechless - to think of the thousands of humans that died on one of the biggest battles in history was incredible.

I also managed to blend up 6 scoops of ice cream, 2 cups of milk, 3 cookies, and half cup of chocolate syrup and drink it in under 1 minute - nicknamed "Human Vacuum" since high school.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share stories and knowledge I have gathered through my life - I know a lot about American college life around the nation, millennial culture, and anything politics and history!

Ever wondered what it is like being a fraternity president at a USA university? (Yes Hollywood got some stuff right, but definitely not everything - getting Animal House tingles?)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories, curiosity, hard work, the travel and adventure bug, manual labor (good at cleaning, fixing up, working with tools), and an energetic positive, helpful attitude.

My friends like to say "he is a guy you want to meet up with at the bar for great conversation and a great time"
