About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To permenently disengage from the rat race and enjoy the life of meaning.

ABOUT ME

Live life on my terms. Appreciate originality. 1 part sports fan, 1 part geek, 1 part nerd. Outdoor feign begrudgingly adjusted for the urban life - but it's a pretty cool urban life. Always in search of good beer, good tunes, good cigars, good tequila, big mountains and a place to spot the milky way.

PHILOSOPHY

Explore, Learn, Engage. Repeat.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Looking for a quick layover on someone's couch for a couple of nights. I'll expand out to sharing space once I move into a larger pad and I have more furniture.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A one night stay in San Fran.

Interests

Beer-Brewing, drinking, tasting, judging... Outdoors - I like big rocks, especially trying to scale them, finding brilliant lookouts, taking in everything amazing that nature can throw at me... Stars. How can you not enjoy watching the biggest explosions in the known universe rip apart?

Books: Shogun, Shantarum, Elegant Universe, Dune, Forever War.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just completed a great week in the Sierras - knocking out the brilliant High Sierra trail! Loved my beginners canyoneering out at the Subway in Utah. A weekend at the Gorge for DMB where we were upgraded at every step of the way. Knocking out the Presidential Traverse in NH. Meeting my heroes at the National Homebrewers Conference. Seeing 2 of my beers make it to market.

Teach, Learn, Share

Tons of useless trivia! We can talk pre-19th century Spain, about the complexities of Christian Rome, why Presidents of the US are never quite as radical as they appear, etc. Or...we could just make a batch of beer.
