ABOUT ME

Oops! We've been BAD couchsurfers by having fully neglected our couchsurfing account! Many appologies, we promise to do better in the future, please don't hesitate to request to stay on our couch because of our poor reply rate as we strive for improvement :)

Bill has just finished his degree and spent the summer fire fighting around BC, Canada. He's a pretty laid back kinda guy, likes to go hiking and mountain biking. He's a really easy guy to talk to and just overall a nice guy to be around.
I'm interested in hiking, running (although I haven't been doing that as much as I used too, really gotta get back into it). I'm a Mom, and I love spending time with my little boy (Jordan, 9 years). He's just recently decided to go live with his Dad so I'm taking this extra bit of freedom to travel (also to avoid the empty house and missing my boy :( I finished school about two years ago and have been working in a hospital in Kamloops with new Moms and Babes and Women's health in general. I would really like to start travel nursing, Mostly I want to work in Samoa, Africa, and Australia.

Lisa- live life to it's fullest, it's not long enough to get caught up on the small things. Leave the world in better shape then you found it, our children will have to live here, overall- karma will get you in the end.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've stayed with a few people over in New Zealand and in Australia, we really enjoyed all of our stays and hope that we'll be able see to our couchsurfing buddies again!

Bill- Investment Biker, Adventure Capitalist, both by Jim Rogers amazing books about business economics and global Travel the guy first road a motor bike across every continent then drove a car around everyone. The Alchemist, a great book this one is about going after your dreams. Rich Dad Poor Dad, life changing book for me and strangely enough the inspiration behind my pursuing post-secondary education.

Lisa- I love reading anything with a good story line, even the lame HQ romances (my secret indulgence). I mostly read to escape into another world so I usually don't like anything too serious.
My fav music right now is Ben Harper, David Grey, Jack Johnson, James Blunt, etc....but my all time fav band will always be Metallica....lol, not really the same genre is it.
I love feel good movies, my favourite movie in the whole world is Dirty Dancing. Yup, i'm totally into chick flicks! I really enjoy intrigue and thriller too but not anything really scary, especially vampires. Those ones always bring my old childhood fears right back like I'm still 10 years old and hiding under the covers with my secret stash of garlic!

Lisa- I've driven across Canada in a Chevy Blazer with two other girls and lived to tell about it!
We spent 5 weeks camping our way across the country and had a really good time! There were some tense moments, but we were all sooo much closer by the end of it! I have to say we live in an amazing country and I'm very proud to be Canadian, we have so much to offer the world.
