ABOUT ME

I am a Florida resident and own a wedding flower shop with my husband Bill. We strive to make our business successful and work a lot of hours but we play as hard as we work. There isn't any place we wouldn't want to travel to and we prefer to meet local people and immerse ourselves in their lifestyles during our visit. Learning about other people and other cultures enriches our lives in a way that nothing else could. My life goal is to become a gypsy and travel the rest of my life.

PHILOSOPHY

My life has been shaped most by my children. They have taught me how to live and appreciate life each day. I agonize over details and planning- they live in the moment. I believe people can accomplish anything if they can control their fears and my favorite life experiences have been when I am out of my comfort zone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We just joined the CS2 Project and are only learning about ways we can participate. We would love to start our experience with couch surfers from Turkey, Greece, Russia, or New Zealand .

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Staying with friends and family and sharing their "couch" has always been a fun way to travel and visit. We have friends from Ohio that come to Florida every year and rent a hotel room. While they are here we surf the the extra bed or floor with our air mattress. It is an annual visit were we reconnect , search for shells, share meals, and just hang out. It is one of my favorite trips each year.

Love to read!! I enjoy David Baldacci, Harlan Coban , Dean Koontz, Barabara Delinsky, and many more. I have a library with hundreds of books to share with couch surfers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My most amazing trip was to Tanzania, Africa Jan 2007. My husband and I were in awe of the country's beauty beginning with their people to the land itself. Seeing the animals on safari is something I will never forget.
While that trip is tops on my list, my husband ran with the bulls last year in Pamplona , Spain. I am positive that tops anything I have done!!
I have also walked the parts of the French Route to Santiago, Spain and last year I walked 15 days of the Portuguese route on a camino to Santiago. Loved the experience all three times!!
