ABOUT ME

I'm currently teaching English in two lycées on the Indian Ocean island of La Réunion. Many of my friends zent straight into full-time office work but I just couldn't bring myself to settle down. I absolutely love travelling and want to visit as many places and meet as many people as I can.

I had a European adventure last summer where I booked a one-way ticket to Croatia with my friend Mike. I don't like planning; I enjoy seeing where my adventures decide to take me. We intended to hitchhike and couchsurf our way back home. It was going well until we got drugged and mugged in Budapest, but we carried on to Prague before having to come home. It was so much fun and we met loads of amazing people. We're now planning to travel back to Croatia to stay with some of the amazing people we met and to see who else we can meet on our way.

I consider myself to be a relaxed, approachable person who's always up for going out and having a good time, or just hanging out with a couple of beers and a guitar. I always really look forward to catching a glimpse of other people's lives. Travelling for me is more about the people than the places. If I find a cheap flight, I'll go!

We all need to become enlightened!

Don't take things too seriously...I woke up in a park in Budapest with no passport, wallet, phone, bag, clothes...nothing. A few hours later I was laughing about it.

Be open-minded. Try everything.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Last summer I surfed in Zagreb and Budapest. I met some great people. My host from Budapest even came to stay with me in Bristol a few months later. In January I went to Belfast and had a great time with my host who's a big participator in the CS community.

Over the year I hosted a number of people in my house in Bristol. We had some amazing meals cooked for us!

I'm gutted that I no longer have a place to offer, but I'll be hosting as soon as I move away.

Interessi

Music, playing guitar, writing, reading, learning, socialising, going out. I've played in a band since I was 14. I absolutely love it.

Snorkeling on Koh Tao; playing at a music festival; staying in a mansion in Chaing Mai for three days with people I'd just met; flying to Croatia with no planned route home...it's difficult to think of everything!
