About Me

CURRENT MISSION

zoom all the way out...

ABOUT ME

I can't promise that this will be "all" about me, but here's a taste... I'm a 26 year old chef living and working in Austin, Texas in the United States. I am very passionate and serious about my work, as it provides both an income and a seemingly endless source of joy. Nothing in this world gives me as much pleasure as gathering and preparing and serving delicious food to people who appreciate it. I have gone through a few transitions to get to where I am now in life, but the things that have remained constant through it all are music and food. There doesn't seem to be anything else on Earth that has the power to bring together groups of people who may have nothing else in common, the way a beautiful song can, or the way a healthy spread of food can. I'm only recently starting to realize how large (and small) our world is. I have an overwhelming desire to go see it all, and hopefully in the meantime sharpen my skills as a cook and hone my craft. I love outdoor adventures, especially hiking, biking, rock climbing, and cliff diving.

Since I've been traveling, people keep telling me that they feel as if they've known me for a long time... it's awesome.

PHILOSOPHY

If you could do anything you wanted, and failure was never even an option... what would you do?

If you're lucky enough to come up with an honest answer to that question then ask yourself this:

If you know exactly what it is that you want to do, and you are not doing it... then what are you doing?

live life. believe in yourself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am currently looking to travel, but until I do, and when(if) i return, mi coucha es su coucha.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've always been willing to open my home to friends of mine who have been traveling through. I've only recently become of aware of the CS phenomenon, but before such a thing existed there were people surfing through my living room.

Music, Movies, and Books

I haven't seen most of the movies that people say I should. I do like movies but I prefer to read. I'm a bit of a bibliophile and I literally have more books than I know what to do with.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One time... I understood how everything worked. It was the best feeling possible, but it was fleeting.
