About Me

Born in the USA, emigrated with my family to QLD Australia as a kid, spent the rest of my growing up in Melbourne the cultural melting pot of AUS. I lived in Texas for 3yrs, got homesick and moved home. I love, love traveling, meeting new people, cultural enrichment and appreciation. As an artist I love to take in the beauty of nature and many art forms. As an adrenaline junkie I enjoy checking off my bucket list. I am very game to experience new things. I am unapologetically a "Born Again" Christian. I do my best to offer grace and love to those around me. I'm friendly, curious, laid back and good company.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm going on my first vacation solo. I am very much a people person and would prefer to enjoy some of it with good company. My best travel experiences have been with friends or acquaintances.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
I like Country, Jazz and Soul. I grew up singing Southern Gospel in church. Yes, I can carry a tune.
Movies:
I'm obsessed with Sci-fi, Comicbook, Action, Fantasy and Thriller. Truthfully I'm a bit of a nerd.
Books:
I adore comic books, love a good biography and indulge in historical fiction but make time for self help.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I jumped out of a plane and fell 15,000 ft for my 30th Birthday. The most freeing experience in my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've been creative my entire life. I enjoy art in the smallest capacity. I enjoy drawing, painting on many surfaces..shoes, bags, jackets ect... I'm currently an art tutor. I have taught serenity pattern drawing workshops at my local community center.
I have served on a few missions trips in overseas countries helping local church communities. I found the experience of rubbing shoulders with the locals in Mexico, Philippines and Bahamas very grounding and rewarding.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories of my many travels, conversation involving culture, how to speak Australian slang, film, DND, and art. I'm happy to show you my art if your interested.
I can show you how to draw patterns and incorporate into a drawing. Zentangle is a calming and relaxing way of being creative with no pressure.
I can teach you a few Aussie folk songs...I do know a bit of history of Australia even if its my adoptive country.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore
