About Me

ABOUT ME

If you asked my friends about me they would tell you I'm...stuck in the 90's. Haha. Just kidding, though I do love my collection of VHS tapes and have no problem using terminology such as: wicked, poppin', or dealio.
I'm wicked friendly! Super outgoing and precocious. I'd like to think I'm clever, and my mother says I'm the smartest person she knows.
My friends would say I'm a huge planner and super Type A, but I think I'm more laid back then they give me credit for.
I'm definitely an activist and really involved in my community!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I first used Couchsurfing.com when I moved to Omaha from Denver.
But not that I'm settled I'm really excited to host anyone coming into the city.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only couchsurfed to get to Omaha.
I'm a huge planner but I decided to get on a bus a leave my home town. Couchsurfing is the way I got settled in Omaha.
My house has hosted a so many people and it's been a blast. Now I live in an apartment and am looking to host more folks.

Interests

Things that grab my attention?
Sparkly things! Also things that are filled with air, like baloons, bubbles and bouncey balls!! Honestly. But I just like to find joy in things, little or big.
I want to live a life that is book worthy, at least a book I would read.
When I'm not working I could be crafting or baking miniature versions of things. I like to take classes to learn new trades like paper making or sewing.
I work with young people and am always looking for opportunities to be a mentor.
I also love volunteering, even with old people. They have the BEST stories.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This'll tell you a lot about me:
I chronological order...

When I decided I no longer wanted to attend Harvard for post-grad. It had been my dream since I was in 2nd grade, and then...my perspective on what I wanted out of education and cultural environments changed.

When I dyed my hair pink! The craziest thing I had done at the time. Started me on a path of self discovery.

When 2 close friends survived the death of their baby. Life is fleeting and should be soaked up and enjoyed for all it has to offer. But beyond that, these two people were so strong in this time of great despair. I want to have that strength.

My first kiss with a girl. 'nough said.

When I moved to a new town where I didn't know anyone or have a job or a place to live...

When I had a gnarly accident and couldn't walk for the whole summer.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I live in a cute place with my sweet pup Winston. I know some pretty solid local bars and music venues. I'm always going to some rally or training or something so if you're feeling in an activist mood, I'm your girl.
